Sweet Gratitude

It’s my birthday!
There seems to be a slew of September birthdays.

If I died today, I would have no complaint.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.
His mercies are new every morning.
Great is Thy faithfulness.

Joy is my wine,
Love is my food,
Sweet gratitude the air I breathe.

  1. HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, my dear friend!  Best wishes for a joyous year ahead, and pkg. will be coming. Everything I need to send you has been sitting in a pile on my sofa for I-won’t-tell-you-how-long  Hope your day was happy, anyway!

  2. Hello Carol,I, too, want to add my birthday greetings.  Your post the other day about classical music got me to thinking about ways to include more of it in my daily life.  Instead of turning off the alarm after a nap yesterday, I lay on the bed and listened for half an hour to the classical music station.  I don’t know which left me more rested – the music or the nap!  Lovely!May God bless you richly in this coming year.  My father-in-law has your same birthday and God has blessed him with 89 years of life. Truly, every good thing comes from His hand.

  3. Thanking God for you, Carol, and hoping that your travels to Portland and Maine are fun.  I would love to go to Powells AND I would love to do Maine in the fall.  More kindred spirit items, eh?Happy travels, my friend.Love,Di
