Christmas

Promise made,
Promise kept.
The world saved,
Abraham rejoiced!

Word spoken,
Word enfleshed.
Yahweh with us,
God justified!

A poem by my dear husband.

We had some awkward white space in our Christmas letter.

He suggested we fill it with a definition of Christmas.

Better yet he sat down and wrote this!

  1. The poem is beautiful.  As is the post below about your mother.  My maternal grandmother died this summer.  Grieving has been rather strange for me.  I didn’t “grieve” at the funeral or even several days later, but am finding that emotions hit me at odd times–sometimes in church as I hear a favorite hymn of hers, as we were decorating the Christmas tree with her handmade ornaments (one for every year I can remember!), etc.  Thanks for a lovely post!

  2. Nice, I like it! Ok is this weird or what: I miss our shakespeare class! It was so much fun. Oh I have to tell you that they have a Jane Austen Class that I really want to take here @ Master’s! I think it would be so much fun. They also have a shakespeare one to…I’m torn. It would be hard to do both of them:( Oh well…at least I’ll be able to take one of them. *sigh* I’ll be home in 2 days!!!!!!!*scream* 😀 I’ll see you soon! I’m looking forward to seeing your sweet face again! lots of love!

  3. Jo, I’m telling you, we should switch lives for a semester! ((((hugs)))) – some real ones in a few days, girl. Congrats on sticking it through that tough first semester away from home. And be warned: it will be **very different** coming back home after you’ve been away. There is always a readjustment period.

Comments are cinnamon on my oatmeal!
