Poetry of Grief

One of my newer online friends, Lynne, has been quiet on her blog for a while.

She and her family are going through hard times; a heavy, private grief.  I don’t know the trial, but I can hear the hurt.

Lynne is a poet, a very good poet.

Her Opus #11 is a must read, a beautiful expression of her heart.  The photographs on her blog are also her own.

  1. Dear Carol, I am always amazed at the pain in the Body of Christ and how brilliantly it is displayed.  Only in Christ can beauty find such a home in such agony.  Thank you sharing her with us.  I will add her to my prayer list. Blessings, M

  2. Carol, tears sprang to my eyes as I read your entry this morning. Your encouragement and prayers mean so much to me. The Body of Christ is truly a beautiful thing and I would feel lost and alone without it.As I work to process through the different issues that we’re walking through, I find the greatest means of releasing the sorrow to the Lord, and thus the greatest healing, comes as I work through the metaphors in writing a poem. He is so good to have given me this small outlet.I am humbled, touched, and inexpressively grateful that I have sisters whom I’ve never met yet who are praying.Longing for Home,LynneThe Sweetbriar Patch
