  1. I’m so glad you loved the book.  After I read it I knew it was a “Katie” book.  It was given to me by my son’s (then) girlfriend, who is from Afghanistan (which you knew, of course).  I wasn’t sure I wanted to read it, because I knew it would be heavy, but I knew it was important.  I love the quote you chose to share, because it is so true. I am always telling my husband “I want detail”…Thanks for visiting my new blog page.  I have a feeling I am going to love this blogging business way too much.  I have resisted until now due to time constraints, but on the other hand, I see this could be a wonderful way to spend time, especially if it gets our young people writing.
Be sure and check out my page today because I just served a killer recipe to guests from Seattle the other night and plan to post it.  It’s one of those simple, simple, simple dishes that brings the house down!  By the way, did Katie bring you one of my cookbooks?  I hope so.  If not, let me know.  Blessings to your day, dear sister.
